Hi, I’m Magdalena, and I’m the person behind Truly Unusual. I’m a creative person who has always loved drawing, doodling and DIY.
I first learned to draw at school and have continued learning over the years through practice and online tutorials. I especially love simple drawings that don’t take hours to create but still look cute.
Drawing is also something I use in everyday life. I love adding little illustrations to birthday and Christmas cards, gift tags and handmade gifts. There’s something much more personal about giving someone something you’ve added your own creative touch to.
Why I Created Truly Unusual
I created Truly Unusual to share easy drawing ideas that anyone can have a go at. You’ll find cute doodles, seasonal drawings and simple tutorials covering everything from animals and flowers to Halloween, Christmas and everyday objects.
I love taking an idea and figuring out how to turn it into a simple drawing using basic lines and shapes. My goal is to make the ideas here feel achievable, especially if you’re just getting started.
Drawing Should Be Fun
For me, drawing is a way to relax, switch off and do something creative. It doesn’t need to be perfect – in fact, I think slightly wonky drawings often have more personality.
